Roobet's tagged reserves are an order of magnitude below Stake's, but the player base is not. That gap is the whole story.
Twelve million dollars across 3.2 million tracked addresses works out to roughly four dollars of tagged reserves per address. Stake runs at forty-six. BC.Game at seventeen. Rainbet at a hundred and sixty-one. Roobet is the outlier, and the read is not that Roobet is short of cash.
The most likely explanation is operational: Roobet pairs with a licensed Curacao operator and runs a lot of its float off-chain in fiat accounts or in wallets Arkham has not clustered. Roobet has been live since 2019, paid out through the 2022 crypto cycle, and survived its post-Drake traffic dip without a visible dispute spike. If it were running on fumes, we would have heard.
Still, a low clustered balance removes one verification route. It leaves you reliant on payout tests, licensing, and dispute history to judge whether Roobet can cover a spike. Our tested withdrawals have landed in 15 to 60 minutes on weekday business hours, which is healthy. The lack of on-chain depth is a reason to size positions carefully, not a reason to avoid the operator.
What to watch next: Roobet expanding the tagged-wallet count. If a chunk of off-chain float migrates into Arkham-clustered wallets in the next year, the reserves number will jump sharply. That would be a good signal, not a bad one.
Indexed balance is an order of magnitude below Stake's despite a comparable player base. Lower reserves do not necessarily imply lower solvency, they can reflect faster conversion of incoming deposits to fiat or operational accounts Arkham has not clustered.
On-chain reserves are a floor, not a ceiling. An operator can hold more than this in wallets that have not been clustered, or less than this if they owe player balances that exceed their on-chain float. This page is one input among several. Use it alongside payout test results, licensing, and dispute history.
